- Who is it for?
- The CFO of a US public company, including a CFO-designate or a VP Finance stepping up, who wants to see their pay against disclosed peers ahead of a pay review, committee change, succession, hire or IPO-readiness event. Nonprofit and hospital CFOs can position against Form 990 peers on Tracker and above.
- What data does it use?
- DEF 14A Summary Compensation Tables, with Item 402(v) pay-versus-performance data as a cross-check, and IRS Form 990 bulk files for nonprofit CFOs. Only disclosed figures are used, and each one is cited to its filing.
- What if my company is small?
- Smaller reporting companies may omit a CFO from their disclosures. The coverage indicator shows it, and no percentile is shown below five distinct employers.
- Is my pay data stored?
- An entered compensation profile is purged within 90 days of cancellation. A CEO figure entered for the ratio tracker is never stored.
- Do you cover PE-backed CFOs?
- They are benchmarked against disclosed public peers as a labelled stand-in. No PE-backed pay data set exists, and private-company pay is not covered.
- Do you give negotiation advice?
- No. CFOCompensation compares disclosed figures only. It gives no legal, tax or negotiation advice.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes, 3 days on the plan you pick, starting when the app opens.
- How do I get a receipt or change my billing details?
- Every purchase and subscription charge sends an emailed receipt from Stripe. To change a card or cancel, use the billing portal link in that receipt, or email us and we will sort it out.
- Which plan should I be on?
- Run the ROI calculator for a recommended plan. If you would rather talk it through, send us a message and tell us which conversation you are preparing for.
