About
Why CFOCompensation exists
A public-company CFO's peer data is already public. Turning it into a comparison should not take a weekend of EDGAR lookups.
Rovaryn Digital's mission
Rovaryn Digital Inc. builds focused, self-serve tools for underserved professional buyers: one job done well, priced for an individual. CFOCompensation is one of those products.
Why we built CFOCompensation
CFOCompensation is built for the CFO of a US public company, including a CFO-designate or a VP Finance stepping up. What brings you here is usually a specific moment: a pay review, a committee change, a succession, a hire or an IPO-readiness event. In each of those moments you need to know where your pay sits against disclosed peers, and you need figures you can cite.
The peer data is public. It sits in the Summary Compensation Tables of DEF 14A proxy statements, but it is spread across hundreds of inconsistent filings. So today a CFO builds the comparison by hand, from EDGAR lookups into a spreadsheet. That is slow and error-prone, and it has to be done again the next time the question comes up.
The existing options do not fill that gap. Enterprise executive-pay platforms are built for issuers, committees and HR, and they are priced accordingly. Free sources are static, estimated or self-reported, and none gives you a personal percentile.
CFOCompensation turns the public record into a personal percentile. You enter your own pay privately, build a peer set by revenue band, sector and region, and read where you sit, overall and by component, over three proxy years. Every figure is cited to its filing. On Executive Pro it also tracks CFO-to-CEO pay percentages across your peers.
What it will never do
CFOCompensation will not cover private-company pay. It will not sell or present PE-backed CFO pay as measured data, because no filing source exists; it benchmarks PE-backed CFOs against disclosed public peers as a stand-in and says so. It will not estimate undisclosed pay or give legal, tax or negotiation advice. It is not affiliated with the SEC or the IRS.
What we value
Cited, not estimated
Every figure links to the filing it came from. A number you cannot trace is a number you cannot put in front of a committee, so we do not show one.
Private by default
Your own pay is the most sensitive figure in the product. The profile you enter is private to your account and purged within 90 days of cancellation, and a CEO figure entered for the ratio tracker is never stored.
Plain about coverage
Smaller reporting companies may omit the CFO under Item 402(m), and private companies are not covered at all. The product says where coverage is thin and shows no percentile below five distinct employers, so you never read more into a result than it holds.
Focused on one buyer
This is a single-seat tool for the individual CFO, not a product for boards, committees or HR. Keeping to one buyer means every decision is made for the person preparing for the conversation.
